No, this is what it takes to get people to rise up.
Hunger is one of the biggest motivators to resist tyrants, without it people will tolerate it as long as they have their creature comforts.
Fujin gets it.
People haven't revolted yet because most people have remained very comfortable during the last year.
"Lockdown? Who cares- I have UberEats and Netflix, and my weed dealer will come right to my house! Also all of my local liquor stores remain open, so as to not kill alcoholics by depriving us of poison. Sure, I lost my job... but I'm making more money on unemployment than I've ever made in any job in my life! Why would I revolt?"
Start stripping away some of those comforts and then you'll see action. I keep praying that the internet itself will simply "refuse to function" for like a week. We'd have this world unfucked in a matter of a month or so if we had that kind of time.
I think your pretty right about the internet. But its so key in helping people organize.
I have a bag of weed I bought to do some acid like 3 years ago. I wonder if itβs brown yet
This shit happened in Venezuela, and all other communist regimes. This is what it amounts to.
When the Government refuses to listen to the people who voted them in, then it's time to stand up. We are their bosses and not the other way around.
Yeah and Australians have no guns, and the commies enforcers do. So what is the course of action?
This shit happened in Venezuela, and all other communist regimes. This is what it amounts to.
I hope you're pulling my leg. What happens in those communist countries is a result of there being little to no resources due to mismanagement of distribution of resources. It has nothing to do with workers protesting.
As a matter of fact, workers tend to not protest at all and look to the government for handouts.
The same is happening here in practice.
