British Common Law is a mess. No written constitution, technically the queen is still totally in control, but she wouldn't be allowed to exercise that authority. Citing law code in the UK is a waste of time, there is no obligation for the state to obey it since a judge can simply over rule any aspect of it. It's not much difference than the US. Technically there is a supreme law of the land (the Constitution), but more and more it is totally disrespected.

There was no defined citizenry either, Native British were never considered citizens. In the British Empire they were subjects, that means they were equal to all other subjects, like the Indians for example.

That being said. If you proclaim "equality" and "liberty" in your constitution, make sure you define those terms explicitly, in detail. "All men are made equal" apart from Niggers? And why would they assume all white men are made equal? They may have equal value to God as a human life or sapient creation, but I have never seen anything in the Bible suggest equality in capability. 'Preserve posterity'? Everyone's posterity? and what does preservation entail? So on and so forth.

No, I'm not. You don't need to walk around with it, this is not an every-day thing, I am not saying to change the dictionary definition, I'm saying they needed to clarify any points of ambiguity so that the words were not used against their interests. I don't know how to rationalise what was written there against what they did in practice. Are the Jews simply fulfilling the wishes of the founders by liberating America of its inequality? liberating it from it's white majority & euro-centric systems?

If I wrote a constitution I would at least keep it in mind not to leave any room for my words to be 'twisted by knaves.'
