I've got some proud boys around my neighborhood, so here's my two cents. From the conversations and encounters I've had, I'd describe them as a group who rejects leftist ideology, and supports community and small businesses. They are peaceful, but also young men who could easily be baited into defending themselves. None of them are white around here, most are from places where socialism or communism is a recent experience either for them or their parents.
