Too bad he couldn't link collecting ears to collecting Philistine foreskins when she asked him about the bible. I wonder if vets ever had to cut off their own ears to stay safe from each other, if he ever felt the need remove a child's ears, or if he could have traded his ear collection for his commander's daughter. I will say I find ears a bit more brutal than foreskins since they're gender neutral.
