Most people don't realize how robust and scary tires actually are. They are flexible pressure vessels that spin at great speed while carrying load and constantly experiencing extreme high load occurrences (bumps). I once saw a video of some kid kicking a bus tire and it exploded. That rapid expansion of gas blew all the meat off the bone in his leg. Nothing left but bone and meat rags. Might have been the split rim design since it was a shithole country so I'm not sure if it was the tire or rim that gave.

Anyway. Yes, tires are a marvel. And no, physics didn't take the day off.

Sorry I don't have that video I referenced but it kinda makes me want to puke so no I didn't save it.

Edit: here it is. Apparently you need an account to satisfy Reddit's faggotry. https://reddit.com/r/WTF/comments/32btzk/kid_kicks_bus_tire_bus_tire_blows_up_this_is_the/

I saw that video. Turned it right off after it exploded.

Delete the (https://www.) And type (old.) no parentheses. It will take you to the mobile site.

Nice tip! The video link is still broken though. Sorry for the wild goose chase.

According to this comment, his leg actually got ran over by the bus:

I would need a reddit account to view the video. Without that I can't really say. But from my recollection it was pretty clear what happened.

Not to worry, the linked video is gone.
