No it's just summer. Droughts happen all the time in the hot months. Your short life does not even come close to "ever". In comparison to this planet your life is like a small fart. If you don't believe me read about the Vostok ice core samples which span a 400 000 + year period. The earth has been much hotter for most of that time then it is now.
