Yeah that’s them. Travellers is their preferred name these days but they used to work a lot with tin so they’re usually called tinkers (or knackers, mincs, magpies, pikies etc.) They’re an absolute scourge. There’s only something like 25,000 of them but they cause so much trouble. They’ve a big settled area down in Limerick and the locals have had to erect 15 foot walls around their estate to keep them out. They are also inbred as fuck cos they keep marrying their cousins which causes its own problems. They do absolutely despise faggots though, which is kinda funny.

They are yeah, although they got some sort of official recognition of their “ethnicity” a few years ago. Nobody really knows where they came from. People used to say they’d taken to the road during either the famine or the cromwellian invasion depending on who you spoke to, but genetic studies have found they split from the rest of the Irish population about a thousand years ago, so we really don’t know what motivated it.
