Love Southlake. One of the more expensive places in the DFW area, there are plenty of areas around it in little towns etc. that are much less expensive and within driving distance of Southlake. Housing market down there is the worst it’s been in decades. Everyone I know buying a house down here for, say, 400,000 is paying 500,000 with 100,000 in cash because the bank won’t support a loan that far over the value of the home. I watch those houses in our area went from a 250,000 value to selling for 375,000 over the last year, year and a half. It’s absolutely bonkers down here in most areas. Not every area. But many.
