Mint grows around here. Dandelions are always good, can use the entire plant in a lightly flavored soup. You can find berries. There's a plum tree right outside one of the libraries around here and nobody but me even knew what it was, even the elderly librarians who worked there for decades. Acorns are a good source of protein.
