This is tangentially related to the whole "babies are racist" thing we see pop up occasionally. Some liberal harpie will show babies white and brown dolls and discover through her amazing powers of observation that the babies associated brown dolls with being dirty - even brown babies do this. Of course, being female, liberal, and a liberal arts major, the researcher is unable to apply Occam's Razor or any other kind of logic to her own research. So, rather than realizing that babies have figured out that dirt is brown and that when their skin is brown it's because they have dirt on them (the conclusion that requires the least amount of assumptions), the researcher sees that obviously babies have been programmed by society with a complicated racial bias that requires understanding the abstract connection between physically dirty and psychologically repulsive.
