Why? I don't get the knee jerk reaction to windmills. It's energy. If the wind is blowing, might as well make it do something useful.
Intermittent energy is next to useless. Demand does not follow wind patterns.
Well, if you are stupid and only rely on wind, yeah, you'd have a point. But smart people don't just rely on one source of energy.
You could say the same thing about any singular source of energy. I mean, gasoline is great until someone hacks your pipeline. Hydro is great until you have a drout. Coal is great until the miners go on strike.
Everything is intermittent... Unless you have multiple sources of energy.
But no, Wind is bad because <insert knee jerk reaction here>.
Nuclear isn't intermittent. Neither is coal. Neither is natural gas.
