Reminds me of when I took my dog to the vet to have him put down. First they shaved his leg, cleaned the injection site, gave him something for his pain. Later, they gave him the kill shot. I asked the doctor why they gave him a pain shot when I was having him put down. Her answer was they do this to all the dogs. Then I asked why she cleaned the injection site. She looked at me puzzled because she suddenly realized where I was going with my questions and she had no other answer other than, this is what I was told to do. Naturally, I got a big bill for all the unnecessary "care". I had to refuse to pay the bill so they refused to give me my dead dog. Later, I came back to talk to the director who was literally speechless, probably because I dared to question their procedures. I paid for the euthanizing and didn't pay for the unnecessary procedures. I know they continue this practice because noone questions the experts.
