I would argue that she's an artist raising awareness to the dark shit that's been going on, and doing it in an over-the-top fashion. If she followed the same pleasant style as everyone else she'd just blend in and soon be forgotten. Instead, the stark contrast her videos have attract attention and get people sharing them, talking about them, debating them...just what artists want.

I understand what you're trying to say, but to me, Poppy is a slave. Her childlike high voice is a sign of severe abuse in childhood. Look it up. It's sad, really .

If she didn't have the history that she does, I would be more inclined to agree with you. However, when you add the context of her history it looks more like she's trolling everyone as a form of marketing. She's a song artist that has had bad deals with different labels, her style copied someone else that landed her a lawsuit, etc. She likes to make statements as "art" and it draws the attention she's looking for.
