He hosed the guests with champagne, smashed the bottle, and kicked over the table with the cake.

He yanked it out of the other guys hand when he opened it and tried to hose everyone down, but because they didn't shake it up enough before opening it failed, so he was mad about that and threw the champagne on the ground.
