Then Dread Pirate Roberts got busted, the FBI seized not only his wallets but the wallets of the exchange and escrow accounts, and with not only the media attention but so much artificial scarcity caused by such a large amount of the fungible commodity effectively being infinitely unavailable the demand ballooned and with it the liquid value.
