Honestly, I still don't understand what Vietnam was about. I've read lots of articles about it, yet none of it makes any sense. The best I can come up with is the military industrial complex wanted to try out its products and steal taxpayer money. I agree with one of the comments here we should stop all foreign aid. It's nothing but a way to embezzle taxpayer money. To end war, all taxpayers need to do is stop funding it. War is very expensive.
