His name is not John Burke. His name is James Burke. He is a British broadcaster, science historian, author, and television producer. He had a series of shows called Connections, Connections 2 and Connections 3 that were shown/re-run on TLC (The Learning Channel) during the late 80s through the mid 90s before the channel turned into honey-boo-boo garbage.
The original Connections series from the late 70s was excellent. I highly recommend watching the series as there are many interesting bits of knowledge in it that you won't find presented the same way today. The final episode in the original series, "Yesterday, Tomorrow and You", makes six points that are as relevant today as they were in 1978. He even hints at the coming internet age and the nature of humans trying to adapt to the ever-connected society we now live in. It is a fantastic glimpse into our world from 40 years back. Watch it if you can find it.
Thanks for the link. I actually have the original Connections 1 series on DVD. I should re-watch them again. The show was one of the best shows I can think of and it's worth spending a few hours revisiting them now that the world has gone absolutely mad with woke culture and libtarded 'thinking'.
Yes, remember before TLC and Discovery went to shit in the 90s
