She was so upset (when she found out I had not taken the vaccine). I said, 'I understand' -

MISTAKE! Never sympathize, apologize, or otherwise encourage liberals and demoralised individuals. They do not converse in equal and logical terms as those attempting to convince them. They will say whatever they think will win the "argument", even if it is a complete lie. These people are not the types to be debated; you state your position, if required, and then move on with life. Let them reeeeeeee if they want to; trying to talk them out of it only empowers them.

If you see them as what they really are: NPCs, then things start to make a lot more sense.

You and make valid points, I don't disagree. But, I was one of those brainwashed many years ago. Certainly as a teenager I remember being livid when adults would talk negatively about blacks. And here I am, looking up to uncle h.

We do know how persuasion works and we do know most peoples minds can be programmed and re-programmed, we all saw how it's done over the last 16 months.

Maybe there are options.

Saying I understand seems like an underhanded way to make an argument from authority. If you really understand, it will be clear from what you're saying (or the other person is too emotional to even see that).
