We need Nuclear power but run by smart people.
All of the fears of nuclear power come from people associating the word "nuclear" with "bomb". Most people genuinely believe that if a rocket hit a nuclear power plant it would cause an explosion along the lines of Hiroshima.
There are dangers with generating any kind of power, especially on a massive scale- but everything we know so far shows that nuclear power is the most efficient, clean, relatively cheap and practically infinite power supply. If maintained properly and operated by competent people with lots of redundancis and strictly observed safety precautions, there's no reason not to use it.
The electric/power companies that are already established are THREATENED by a shift to nuclear power. They're not afraid of a shift to solar/wind, because they know it will fail more often than not- "green" energy is not really competition for the majorly established power companies.
EDIT: Typo
I think people are actually more worried about shit like Karen Silkwood, Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima, and the fact that ionizing radiation is deadly and the various metallic byproducts of commercial fission emit large amounts of ionizing radiation and often have half-life periods in the thousands of years.
I think the fact is that all of that is combined with a "take the lowest bidder" corner-cutting mentality to create utter failures such as Three Mile Island and Chernobyl. And no matter how careful you are, Nature can deal you a real hammer blow sometimes, like Fukushima.
So no, most people aren't worried that the nuclear plant might "blow up." They're worried that some asshole contractor just made copies of the X-rays of one single section of pipe and then used them to avoid actually X-ray-inspecting all of the pipe used. Or that a tectonic plate might shift. And that then a large swathe of their favorite country might become a no-go area for the next few centuries. That sort of risk seems even worse than a mere kaboom would be, as bad as that would be.
Karen Silkwood
It happened so long ago nobody remembers it anymore, I think we can put that behind us.
Three Mile Island
Health effects were negligible: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Mile_Island_accident_health_effects
Chernobyl
The US never used such retarded designs
Fukushima
Zero exposure to the population
a tectonic plate might shift.
I don't see that would work, unless the ground literally split in half under the containment building which would never happen, they're simply not built in such areas.
It's all fear mongering bullshit, this is how it should be framed: more people died from the stupid wind turbines freezing in TX than from all US nuclear accidents combined (shithole Ukraine doesn't count).
3 mile Island was human error. The operators took the plant out of "automatic" and into "manual" thinking they could better control the situation. Oops.
nuclear proponents are the same niggers trying to force the corona vaccines on us, they cannot stop strawmanning even while the oven door is being closed on them.
the concerns you just listed are certainly valid reasons to be worried about nuclear power (which for the most part are also similar to risks from other methods of power production) however most people (not all mind you, you are one such exception) are opposed because they think its like a bomb or some stupid shit like that. stop giving the masses so much credit
Thorium. Molten. Salt. Reactors.
Nuclear power is best power.
Why not just burn oil and coal? There seem to be unlimited amounts of each. Oil fields are re-filled naturally once they are emptied out. Also, the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere increases tremendously.
because then the minikikes cant make a confortable living bitching about white exclusive overpopulation
Refilled? What from?
It's called abiogenic oil https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenic_petroleum_origin#Proposed_mechanisms_of_abiogenic_petroleum
What do you fucking mean they refill naturally, from where? From what??? Pit bogs are coal producing areas but do you know how long it takes for them to do it?
We are being lied to as how oil is generated. It might be produced somehow in the center of the earth. Coal might be more limited.
The world is a shit place because it is intentionally set up this way... This "incite" offers nothing.
