The entire press conference is a good watch. The sheriff not only pushed for the prosecution of the deputy, he is actively lobbying for a national registry of officer’s misconduct, and termination reasons; as to avoid what he called “gypsy” police that bounce from agency to agency w/o accountability.
He also fired officers that had slid under the blue line. It’s an attack on the previous sheriffs people. At worst it is being framed in a way that I like, at best it is some true action from someone who seems genuine.
