I remember reading somwhere (don't ask where, I forgot), that the average black person lacks forethought, and only live the present, that's why they spend any little money they get on stupid shit. We have that too - it's called passive voice, and is standard in academic writing. This is the wrong way to look at it, I think. If you look at African cultures, matrilineal polygamy is widely practiced. This is a system where paternity isn’t strongly establish so dads dont really hang around. What little wealth there is is passed down from the maternal uncle to his sister’s children, not his own. They aren’t filling a void. This is how it was in africa before white people. There’s always high violence among them. Rap isn’t telling them to be this way, rap is how they are.

But all of that music was jewish. Read David McGowan's Laurel Canyon series for more - he does the deep dive into the genealogy behind the 'counterculture' and all that followed. (centerforaninformedamerica.com) I extended his work both forward and backward in time (backward to include the 'beatniks' and the creation of (((jazz))), and forward into modern degeneracy (screamo, grunge, hiphop [which was coopted into rap], etc).

The last truly White (here meaning jew-free) music was Big Band + derivatives, which is most probably what your grandfather grew up listening to. Swing was jewish degeneracy of Big Band, which eventually degenerated into disco etc.
