You're making the mistake of underestimating our opponents.

It's not even a matter of the fact that we're better than them, which is true, it's that arrogance is deadly, every time, if you make it a habit.

Always ask: Whenever you are tempted to say "we can win", ask yourself "why?" and then ask "what am I overlooking about the opponent that would complicate beating them?"

For example: the u.s. military has raw firepower and numbers.

Always avoid your opponents strength, or engage with them in a way that neutralizes those strengths.
