All the 'small things' do is allow yourself to become slowly desensitised over time to a whole range of things you may initially have being able to steer clear of. Live and let live, its ok as long as they're not harming anyone and all of that tripe etc etc only serves to erode personal/ individual resistance to what is unacceptable to where just now disagreeing with it is bigoted and racist ....
