no... this happens occasionally when some dirty prick cheap shot artist (tom wilson - playing for the guys in white there) pulls some bullshit the game before. it looks staged because it sort of is - the guys in white know the other team are gonna go after them immediately, so everybody's ready for it... but the rangers (blue) spent the entire rest of the game looking for retribution on that fucking rat cunt wilson. go find the replay on youtube, was a fun game lol this is really down to the fact that the nhl cant decide if they want fighting to still be a part of the game or not - it used to be that the players would police themselves so to speak. a guy like wilson would never survive 20 - 30 years ago. he be fucking killed for the shit he does. now though, he's basically protected by the league trying to police the fighting. they end up letting guys like that get away with murder.
