Storytime?!
It all happened years ago...
I had a wooden planter box that I wanted to get rid of and thought blowing it up would be fun. A buddy and I set a gallon tannerite jug under the box out at about 250 yards. I shot a few rounds through my iron sights but was having trouble hitting it. The box was about 4 feet long and I didn't mark where the target was, so that's my excuse.
Anyway, we move to about 100 yards away and i take a shot and hit. My buddy grabbed a video on his potato-quality camera (this was many years ago). You can clearly see a section of painted wood come flying at us and hit the dirt a few feet infront, before bouncing over our heads:

The wood was moving so fast we didn't see it until we reviewed the video. I never shot at tannerite again.
This... was a quality post. You have to be young and dumb before you become old and wise! Hindsight is 20/20 and all but besides the danger of bodily harm, this looked fun as shit. At 250 yards you would have definitely been in the clear! There's something so satisfying about "removing" anything with explosives. Whew, that was fucking close though! I dug storytime today. Thanks!
