Once upon a time the Oscars were a wholesome, relatable -- because everybody likes the movies -- annual event that was a guilty pleasure for everyone. That's feels like 3 lifetimes ago now. All I saw about the Oscars was that Anthony Hopkins won and there was some social media outrage (probably confected) because the dead Wakanda actor didn't get a posthumous award and OMG racist.
