Just so you guys have some non-youtube source... I have a digital microscope and I checked this about 2 weeks ago. I have some medical masks purchased March 2020 (we run some medical clinics). I found 1 of these per maybe 10 masks. They aren't alive, it's some kind of fiber. They are all over everything. If you wipe your hand on a towel, you have them all over your hands. They are just tiny fibers and if they're moving it's due to static electricity. We put them through an autoclave even. Recently purchased masks (from an actual medical distributor) are also around the same - 10 of the masks might have 1 spec on them. One-time use masks purchased at a grocery store are absolutely covered with this shit and the fact is that most of you probably have these surgical masks from non-medical sources and are without homologation.

So in summary - these one-time use masks that are purchased outside of medical distributors (so no medical homologation) are filthy as fuck and I wouldn't want to breath this in no matter what it is, but they aren't living worms or parasites.

I pulled apart one and saw nothing. Occasional little black bits of dirt or something, otherwise very clean. I was impressed at the density of the middle layer of the blue disposable face masks, actually. I figured it was a lot thinner, like the two outer layers. (JPFS brand)

More likely it's attention-seeking paranoid people.
