thigns like colonoscopies, pap smears, etc are tricks and can actually damage sensitive organs- then they'll offer you a $50,000 fix).
I personally know someone who chose not to have colonoscopies and later found out he had colon cancer that had metastasized to his liver and lungs. What could have been a simple polyp removal turned into a fatal miscalculation. I'm sure there are people who didn't have any cancer and ended up injured by the colonoscopy. Everything has risks and there are no perfect solutions, only trade-offs. Every person has to calculate for themselves what they're willing to trade for what.
Except doctors don't have the answer for cancer. If you fix your diet, you won't get cancer, ever. There is a reason its a recent problem
Mark Twain's father in law died of stomach cancer in 1870. So it's at least that old.
