There's some great self-defense lessons here.

The nigger approached the old man, the old man probably didn't even notice him until he was right on top of him- that's the most common fatal mistake: NOT BEING AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS, WHO IS AROUND YOU, WHAT THEY'RE DOING- THIS LACK OF AWARENESS IS THE CAUSE OF MOST PEOPLE BECOMING VICTIMS. Bad guys always get the element of surprise when they attack, so if you at least know that the attacker is present, you may be able to react better.

So the nigger probably said "give me all yo shit, nigga". It doesn't look like the nigger has a weapon, it's hard to tell, but based on how the old man cooperated by pretending to go into his car to retrieve shit for lil' Tyrone to steal, the old man was afraid to immediately resist.

But then, the old man perfectly executes what a lot of self-defense professionals call a "counter-ambush". The nigger got the initial ambush on the old man, and the old man uses verbal and body language to act like he's capitulating. This makes the attacker feel like they're in control and safe. THIS IS THE MOMENT WHEN THE DEFENDER SHOULD STRIKE. The last thing that this little punk nigger expected was for that old man to spin and engage in grappling. Unfortunately, our man is simply too elderly to win in a fight like this, so after a brief struggle, the nigger gets free, and the fight is over.

PRIMARY LESSONS: Situational awareness. If this old man was paying more attention, he would've seen Tyrone coming and been put on edge. This may have completely changed the way the encounter happened. Number two, COUNTER-AMBUSH. Pretend to comply with an attacker, and then launch your own attack when they take their eyes/weapon off of you, strike them at the moment they feel most in control.

Involving firearms and concealed carry, counter-ambushes are usually what save victims. We have dozens upon dozens of videos of some thug running into a store with a gun out. A concealed carrier will put their hands up and pretend to comply with the robbery, but then the moment the thug is busy with something else, draw from a concealed position and open fire. This is how you take thugs off of the street.
