Fully agree. I tested to become an officer when I was 23, was accepted and offered a spot in the academy program, and then while filling out paperwork and really thinking about the job, realized I didn't want to be responsible for harassing people and fucking up their lives over things that weren't violent or destructive. Changed my mind, and declined to pursue the offer.
