Er ist Wieder Da(He's Back) fell to the Man in the High Castle phenomenon. Everyone loved Hitler despite their attempts to make him seem evil. Definitely worth a watch.
Yep, they try their hardest to make people dislike him, and in reality the audience tended to identify with him. I would say this goes all the way back to All In The Family even. They really tried to make Archie Bunker the bad guy and everyone loved him, that's why it was cancelled even though being top rated.
Yeah, I enjoyed that movie.
I see what they were trying to do, but who could have disagreed with Hitler in that movie about anything?
