Maybe it can’t have a happy ending for man kind?
Not if mankind insists on allowing scientists do anything they want, whenever they want. Scientists have no comprehension between what they can do, and what they should do....they are entirely focused on results, and never on long term consequences of their actions. In the case of AI and robots, it does not take an Einstein to foresee the most likely end destination of this path. And there you have it in a nutshell. Too much governmental control where it is not required, way to little control where it is essential.

Just ducky! If 'Colossus: The Forbin Project' don't enslave you 'The Matrix' or 'I Robot' will...or the Borg will absorb you, or The Terminator' will exterminate you....while the dipstick scientists that will make it happen have not a care in the world.
