For $180, you could get a cheap solar pump that'll break every week or so and spend another month trying to get the Chinese company to honor their end of the warranty. It's not worth it. Just spend the $1,800 for a reliable pump.

DC fountain pumps are all made in China nowadays. And he doesn't need $1800 worth of pump, he just needs a slow, steady flow; and it'd take a fortune in solar cells to be able to drive it. It'll last a year or two before it needs to be replaced.

Harbor freight will replace it for warranty but you have to remember to go if it doesn't break. But hey it's cheap garbage with a warranty
