It's a compitition of stupidity. China could rise to power, or it could not, because there is a lot of stupidity in that country with regard to economics. The US could retain dominance, or it could not, because there is a lot of stupidity in our country with regard to economics. Whoever learns to stop being stupid will take control. Seeing as that won't happen any time soon because we both have flawed political structures, it's a contest for whose stupidity will be more detrimental, The other will be the lumbering giant that gets to plague the rest of the world for the next medium to long range of time.
