Oh quinine water. Ok. My apologies.
It's called tonic water and can be purchased in two liter bottles. The two liter bottle contains the equivalent of one dose of quinine. Obviously even if you drink two liters in one day it's a low dose but I figure if you drink two bottles in two days it's a mild dose.
Obviously that wouldn't be effective against malaria but it seems to work for a mild cold or what ever it was the swabs passed on to those tested.
My neighbor commented that she was suspicious that EVERYONE in the office but two guys got sick AFTER having their noses swabbed for the test. Her comment: "I'm so pissed" .
My grandfather used it for his Parkinson disease. It's possible your neighbor was onto something.
I think quinine may be a remedy for a host of viral or bacterial issues.
