Well to your first paragraph: you have obviously never marketed anything. Truth doesn't matter and it is trivial to get people to buy into anything. You need the right skills and right resources. I gave you examples, feel free to refute them if you have the knoweldge of the domain.
To your second paragraph, scientists were telling us in the 70s that we were going into an ice age. In the 80s they were telling us that acid rain will destroy the earth, that coastal cities will be flooded and Tuvalu will dissapear off of the map.
And yet, the earth is not under ice, the forests did not die from acid rain and Tuvalu is not only here but they are managing to make good money off of increased Tourism. In addition to that, we now know that AT LEAST 50% of all peer reviewed scientific papers cannot be reproduced making science only marginally better than scientology, we now live in a time when the same scientists had us destroy the western economy for what is effectively a sligtly worse flu (even though it is a bioengineered weapon that escaped the lab).
Not only would I not trust scientists, if you know anything about marketing the perception of scientists is not controlled by scientists or "their truth" as mentioned above, it is trivial to discredit scientists and science with marketing.

And, of course, you are wrong about speciation. Not only is speciation not well defined, speciation definitions have changed. In the past speciation was define as not being able to breed between two like animals. This is no longer the case and speciation definition is much more arbitrary and based on taxonomic agreement than any realistic finding.
That basically means, you are right and wrong. On the one hand, there are no actual species because each generation of each species can be viewed as in intermediary step between speciation and can be atomized to being a species it self. Of course, this is as useless as classifying things that can't breed as species because thing that can't breed still have common taxonomies and do not allow us to really classify things properly. So, we can say that the family tree of life on the planet is just a bunch of cousins, afterall, you and i share 50% of our dna with a banana.

So, with marketing we have opportunities to communicate with our target audience. With basic knowledge of bilogy we have a way of segmenting the target audience into subgroups. Once they are segmented we get to target those groups with additional messaging and drive them towards organizations and structures that can provide them with the tools and resources to make their lives better, make their lives safer and maker our people richer.
