Scientific theory implies a hypothesis has been tested multiple times and peer reviewed to the point where there’s a general consensus on what we believe to be true/fact. Now, the issue we often find is that a small group of vested interests pay a LOT of money to manipulate what is published and reported as truth. For example, big tobacco has history of pushing back against scientific results that showed cigarettes were actually bad for your health.
