What, you think I've never been to a national park? They don't do shit but collect entrance fees. Our taxes went for those lands and still do. They have no right to treat it like a revenue collection service. I've been to national parks and they're basically all the same. $2.5 billion total for all operations nationwide, of that $305 million comes from visitor fees. That works out to about $29 for every acre of national park land per year. That's not even enough money to pay for one trash pickup.
You think that $20 sucks? It should be $140 to fund NPS entirely from visitor fees.
