I've had several negative experiences with non white medical practitioners. First, when seeking medical help a person must have absolute trust in whoever is touching their body. Your life is in effect, in their hands. Having that trust breached a couple times is a wake up call.

When starting out as a welder I got a bit of a metal shard in my eye while practicing in shop class. The person I was sent to was a black guy who was brusque, curt and verging on being downright hateful to me. He ended up refusing to do anything for me. I don't remember who I went to for help after that but I for sure started being very aware of the mannerisms of anyone doing something medical for me.

Another time I went for a basic physical for some reason and it was a Filipino doctor who insisted he wanted to do nasal surgery because I had a deviated septum. It's never caused me problems so I refused. I know enough about surgery to know that such a procedure is ONLY done if there's a problem as it's a dangerous surgery that can result in death and has. There's no reason to undergo this risky surgery if a person is not having problems. I knew I had a deviated septum, it's a non issue.

This Flip asshole was practically begging me to do the surgery. Why? Just pure greed. He cared nothing for my health and most likely would have very easily messed up and ruined my life.

One one other occasion while working I did get a bit of metal in my eye several years later. As usual I went to an eye specialist on the contractor's dime and it was some lady doing the work. I can't give her enough praise. Her care and concern were just top level stuff. Her mannerisms were very straightforward and caring. I just sensed I was in good hands. She put some drops in my eye to stop the pain, then some dye to highlight the metal and used an ultraviolet light to make it more visible. She touched my cornea with a swab and then turned away. I was surprised when she said, "Ok, looks like we're done here". I said, "What, you got it out?" She answered, "Yes, it was very small" and then she showed me the fleck on a tissue and but I really couldn't make it out too well as it was so small. She drew me a sketch of it's shape and why it had stuck to my cornea. It was a hook shaped shard. She did absolutely no damage to my cornea. Oh, and it wasn't exactly a swab she used but a magnetic tool which she showed me.

It didn't hurt that she was attractive either but what impressed me also was how gentle she was. It was like her fingers were feather light and very precise.

I pity those who are forced to go the VA to get "treatment".

I follow you on that. I have run into various types of medical staff and yes there are racial differences in how they behave and their abilities. I have never had experiences with negro doctors, I don't even think I have ever had even a negro nurse. But in the nursing homes, etc they usually are the cooks, butt-washers and other grunt positions. I have had plenty of Indian doctors and for general practice they're okay but anything beyond that and I question them.

I've never seen a negro doctor in Canada. I've seen plenty of Asian, Indian, and Arab doctors. We have all kinds, and they have been in the system for decades. British empire and all that. The Commonwealth of Nations. Educated in either British or Canadian medical schools. They don't let anyone else work here, including American doctors. Actually what happens here is the doctors train here, then move to the US to work because the education is far cheaper here, but the career pays at least 300% better in the US.
