I don't think it's just you. In my circles (gaming, mostly) it always feels like there's subtleties going on those who "get it" pick up on.
Was watching an old stream of a YT'er I like, and he was doing a Hearts of Iron 4 game with his crew. These guys flipped their nations fascist and made the faction "What did they mean by this". I just feel like it's a subtle but monetization-friendly nod to /ourside/.
It's strange. It's like everyone, or most everyone, is at the very least receptive to the message but nobody raises their voice to talk about it.
Got uninvited from a friend's wedding because he's afraid I'm gonna talk about the jews. He says I'm "fucked up".
I stopped talking to him.
In his defense, I probably would have.
I find weddings to be terrible, unironically. He did you a favor in my opinion.
It's just a bunch of standing around, waiting, conversation merely to kill time, a bit of ceremony, and then you leave. A funeral has more real purpose to me. Even then, I wouldn't want one after I die. Just put my sorry ass somewhere and go have a pop and some cake to cheer your ass up. Not like the world lost anything of value.
Oh I agree! It was his intention to do it as a "punishment" that bothered me. And he refuses to check out any info as to why I've come to my conclusion.
It's all like the fight scene in they live. Lol
