Does that "salute" have any ties to a real gesture? Like a masonic hand sign? Arms crossed in front looks like a dead body perhaps?

Would making this gesture be considered the same as praying to/honoring this deity? As it is with the fists and the horn/"rock-and-roll sign?
Scottish rite would have their hands flat and not in a fist, the only difference
