Are the Dutch black Africans?

My sarcastic joke is that Whites brought the wheel to Africa ... sigh.

Dude, I know you are on the ball. I feel you failed on this one.

Anyway, all good! I have many lapses as well. We all do.

All of that man's videos are an absolute delight. His love of nature and joy in making his own space self sufficiently in it is a joy to watch.

I have always been fascinated by those stoves

I'm fascinated by rocket stoves, although I'm lazy so I just use a biolite, but it's pretty awesome.

I think this is also called a Swedish Torch (?).

I have made one of these in the backyard (the log fire part, but not the pipes/tent) with the kids. I just used random split logs from the log pile and wired them together so they formed a mostly cylindrical shape. you don't need to use a perfectly split log like he did in the video, but it does work a bit better. If you use just random split logs, you definitely save a lot of energy (i.e. calories), which would be good in emergency situations. if you have all the time and calories you need, then getting it perfect like the video is the way to go.

Pay attention Texas.

I've seen this posted about a dozen times and I shake my head every time. Someone is going to kill themselves with these things, and it's not really practical.
