I vaguely hinted at this in a conversation with a friend recently and he had an immediate wrongthink reaction like I figured he would. He's a very smart guy too.

Most people just can't face reality even when it's staring them in the face. No amount of proof is good enough.

It's easier to fool people than to convince them they've been fooled.

Facing that truth that a lot of major news events are faked to push a narrative is unbearable to most people. They don't believe it because they can't relate to acting that way themselves.
