sure--from the standpoint of the concious being they are doing it soley for the sake of fun, but know we are getting into apples and oranges.

vidya, as I poorly quote some user, is addictive because it has frequent easily accomplished [reletive to say, doing it IRL] goals that are accomplished--and then there are things like the joy of exploration and mastery of the world: these play off of existing thing in real life and relate to either practice or a bastardization of reality--like jacking off to porn ("bad" fun).

It's apple's to oranges, but it's also fruit to vegetables. Just because something can increase or influence future ability, well that doesn't immediately qualify it as training or practice. They're not mutually exclusive concepts. Jerking off isn't practice for making kids. Making children isn't something you need to practice for. It's so easy that many people do it accidentally. Jerking off isn't even practice for jerking off, any man that does it can do it the first time they try. I don't think it's fun, same as gaming. Not my thing, but to deny it's not purely a selfish act engaged in to entertain said cock jacker is false.

I think you missed my point:

practice or bastardization of something natural [for practice]: "bad fun". That is the highjacking (no pun intended) of good and natural instincts etc. for ends other than the intended hardwireing--just like drugs highjack dopamine and brain chemistry, like a cheat code to the reward [although some use may be adapted in to human biology by this point--whole different debate].

so fun is the means/end to something productive, or practice for it, or else it is a bastardization and a shortcut to the reward of said productive act and arrived at by cheating nature.

Yeah, but chimps masturbate. That would suggest that it's a natural pursuit of pleasure for the sake of pleasure. How can that instinct be hijacked if it's actually innate?
