Everyone is completely misunderstanding AOC's response and making it about how she lied, or about breaking down the specifics of the building and protests. She reacted that way because she felt afraid, disproportionately to the actual "threat" or the way any reasonable person would react in her situation. She regularly exhibits symptoms of over-emotionality and emotional dysregulation like those found in people with cluster B personality disorders. She impugned ill-intent on the part of the protesters and made them out to be violent insurrectionists, utterly failing to understand them, much less accurately portray them. She turned her exaggerated sense of danger into a state of manufactured victimhood in order to play on people's sympathies. She's a manipulative, emotional child. That's the real problem. Of course she lied in the process, but that's what cluster Bs do.
