Well, there was a story I can't find anymore.
About a kid that needed Leukemia treatment, but no donor could be found because of its "unique genetics" meaning that both sides starting at the grandparents were mixed, which would make the kid mixed 16 fold or something, meaning there is no people in the world close enough to be likely to have a match.
Maybe thats our destination, once everyone becomes so degenerated that the most basic medicine can't be used anymore, enough will die to reset.
