The soviets built what they called Nuclear Batteries, which were like the size of a fridge and were used to power all sorts of things, like even their mobile ICBM launchers that they drove and setup, moving them weekly to a new spot, all around Siberia, to make the US's idea of 'taking out a missile base' a null idea.
