That's not rallycross, but rally racing is the purest form of racing. That's stage rally. (At least as far as I watched it.)
Rallycross is closed course, varied terrain, often with artificial tracks. There's amateur rallycross, which is easy to get into and a ton of fun. The wife drove a season, back before she was my wife. She'd have done it this year, but everything was canceled.
