Discrimination

The Constitution prohibits discrimination of citizens on the basis of race, creed, gender, social status, or family origin; non-citizens are not protected from these forms of discrimination by the constitution nor the law as of 2014. Although discrimination of citizens is prohibited, hate speech in Japan is protected by freedom of speech.

I did not know that.
I wonder what politics are like in Japan.

Japaneese-American empire when?

If the Japanese don't want foreigners competing with them for employment, housing, and everything else in their own backyards, I see nothing wrong with the Japanese taking steps to compel foreigners to willingly departure from Japan. Creating a repatriation program that helps Koreans, and all other foreigners, living in Japan to return to their respective countries of origin might be a good first step to that end.

Actually, that's a very long-standing feud. Most Japanese see Koreans as trash. Really disgusting trash. The anger and revulsion is sincere and has a long history. Don't ever call a Japanese chick Korean or fail to distinguish between them. Like saying "Asian" is good enough, NOT. Japanese is not Chinese is not Korean is not Thai, etc ... You could make an enemy by accident just by being a stupid American.
