Definitely. I feel the same way when people say "music was better back then". Music wasn't better "back then"; time just filtered out the crap. I would rather have progress in music than 50 years of 60's rock, even with all the crap it brings.

the nay sayers were always around, its just now anyone who has a computer can post pictures of their dick for everyone to gauk at. The old guard of gatekeepers in newspaper and tv still hold their old jobs, but now face unfiltered tide of content through youtube, and their old habits have come back around trying to close the door and silence the masses after everyone has spoken their mind.
